INGREDIENTS:
- 6 tablespoons of butter (can be replaced with olive oil, clarified butter or coconut oil)
- 1 cup diced onion
- 4 GARLIC cloves (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar
- 1lb. of SMOKED POLISH SAUSAGE (sliced)
- 1 head of Green Cabbage (hollowed & sliced)
- 1 tsp of paprika
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
- 1/4 cup parsley or dill
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional
STEP BY STEP PREPARATION:
- Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry for about 4 minutes.
- Add the chopped sausage and cook for another 4 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Add the rest of the butter, cabbage, paprika, salt and pepper. Stir to combine everything.
- Continue frying until the cabbage is slightly tender, but not too long if you want it crispy. If you prefer soft, fry to the desired consistency.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and crushed red pepper flakes before serving.
