Uszka, "little ears" in Polish, are handmade small dumplings usually filled with mushroom, sauerkraut and mushroom or meat. They are usually served with borscht, though they can be eaten alone Following authentic Christmas Eve traditions in Eastern Europe, uszka are either floated in the soup, or eaten as a side dish.

Try them with your favorite pasta sauce!

Boiling: For best results thaw uszka prior to reheating in boiling water. Or thaw frozen pierogies in boiling water until they rise to the top approx. 4-5 min. Drain and Serve.

Microwave:Place pierogies in microwaveable bowl and heat on high for approx. 45 sec-1 min. If frozen heat for 2 to 3 min. Leave uncovered for 30 seconds before serving.
