This characteristic Polish soup called Krupnik is prepared the old fashioned way with fresh vegetables, dry and fresh mushrooms, potatoes and barley. It’s flavorful and delicious and with a slice of Polish rye bread makes a meal in itself. 

Thawing and Reheating Soup: Ideally pull your frozen soup from the freezer about 24 hours before you want to use it. Let the soup thaw in the fridge and then reheat in the microwave or on the stove stopping often to stir.
